International Mothers' Club, is a global missions ministry of the International Wellness Network, Inc., serving as co-creator in creating a "poverty free world where all children can thrive". Our mission is primarily focused on supporting, limited income global mothers and their families empowering them to be successful as social entrepreneurs and community organizers, empowering themselves and their communities, incorporating our organization's 7 Principles to Optimal Wellness for a community:
These principles are:
1. Spirituality - exploring the meaning and purposes in life: values, ethics, love, friendships, kindness, forgiveness, charity, trust, and gratitude.
2. Intellectual - stimulating the mind and creatively using resources available to expand, knowledge, education, continuing education, libraries, reading and cultural activities.
3. Emotional - recognizing one's feelings and relating to others positively: goal setting, planning, expression of feelings, assertiveness and stress management.
4. Physical - striving toward optimal health and fitness with a proactive lifestyle, activity, recreation, nutrition, weight management, smoke free living, medical, self care, self exams, appropriate use of medical care and chemical (drug and alcohol) control.
5. Social - environmental - responsible and cooperative interaction with the world around us, family planning, friends, building social support, community involvement, volunteerism, safety and pollution control.
6. Economical - striving for fulfillment in one's life through work, career planning, continuing education, leadership training, decision making, time management, retirement planning, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
7. Political - defining and developing a "well conscious" public policy system inclusive of all citizens based on culturally sensitive traditions, that make up a community.
INTERNATIONAL MOTHERS' CLUB IS A MISSIONS INITIATIVE OF IWN WHOSE PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO SUPPORT SINGLE MOTHERS/WOMEN INTERESTED IN WORKING IN AN ENTREPRENEURIAL COLLABORATIVE AS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS, CREATING BUSINESS AND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR CHILDREN.
WHAT IS A SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR?
According to David Bornstein, Author of "HOW TO CHANGE THE WORLD: SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR AND THE POWER OF NEW IDEAS", states that "Social Entrepreneurs are the new Sheroes and Heroes in the 21st Century. "social entrepreneurs identify resources where people only see problems. They view the communities as the solution not the passive beneficiary. They begin with the assumption of competence and unleash resources in the communities they're serving".
Bill Drayton, CEO, Chair and Founder of Ashoka states that, "social entrepreneurs are not content just to give a fish or teach how to fish. They will not rest until they have revolutionized the fishing industry."
We all can agree that a social entrepreneur identifies and solves social problems on a large scale. Just as business entrepreneurs create and transform whole industries, social entrepreneurs create and transform whole industries, social entrepreneurs create and transform whole societies. Social entrepreneurs act as the change agents for society, seizing opportunities others miss in order to improve systems, invent and disseminate new approaches and advance sustainable solutions that create social value.
Unlike traditional business entrepreneurs social entrepreneurs primarily seek to generate "social value" rather than profits. And unlike the majority of non profit organizations, their work is targeted not only towards immediate, small scale effects but sweeping change.
The job of a social entrepreneur is to reorganize when a part of society is stuck and to provide new ways to get it unstuck. He or she finds what is not working and solves the problem by changing the system, spreading the solution and persuading entire societies to take new leaps.
Identifying and solving large scale social problems requires a committed person with a vision and determination to persist in the face of daunting odds. Ultimately, social entrepreneurs are driving to produce measurable impact by opening up new pathways for the marginalized and disadvantaged, and unlocking society's full potential to effect change. The past two decades have seen an explosion of entrepreneurship and a healthy competition in the social sector, which has discovered what the business sector learned from the railroad, the stock market and the digital revolution. Nothing is as powerful as a big new idea if it is in the hands of a first class entrepreneur.
The revolution is fundamentally changing the way society organizes itself and the way we approach social problems.
21st Century Moms across the globe have the opportunity to empower one another as social entrepreneurs. Women since the beginning of a world have always master the art of "giving and networking" among one another. The mission in the 21st Century is to provide opportunities for women from all cultural, economic and religious backgrounds to come together as co-creators, providing the opportunity for women around the world to support, invest, educate, network and empower one another in support of raising ourselves and our youth in the areas of entrepreneurship and community development, providing sustainable income, creating healthy families and healthy communities in all areas of wellness. As a faith-based, global missions ministry, serving as co-creator, creating a "poverty free world, where all children can thrive", we are inviting women, mothers, grandmothers from around the world to share by giving of your time, resources, experience, etc., that will help support raising up young single mothers, women in third world countries and within our neighborhoods, where all families can thrive throughout the global world.
We are inviting you to join us on the following three projects for 2011-2015:
1. "HEAL AMERICA" CAMPAIGN A THIRD EYE PRODUCTION INITIATIVE BY OUR "BOYS TO MEN ENTREPRENEUR LEADERSHIP ACADEMY" - http://boystomen2.webs.com
This is a movement where our youth are working along with the International Mothers' Club to promote creating a "HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES OF COLOR", THROUGH HEALTHIER EATING, EMPOWERMENT WORKSHOPS, TO DEVELOP LISTENING CIRCLES THAT WILL ALLOW WOMEN AND YOUTH TO SHARE IN A POSITIVE SETTING, ISSUES IN LIVING , INSPIRATIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, TRAINING AND SEMINARS, FOR WOMEN FROM AND FOR WOMEN FROM DIVERSE BACKGROUNDS, SHARING STORIES THAT WILL EMPOWER COMMUNITIES IN ONE SPIRIT. INTERNATIONAL WELLNESS NETWORK, INC., PROVIDES A CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR BOTH YOUTH AND WOMEN IN THE AREA OF WELLNESS WHICH INCLUDES TRAINING FROM NDEITA, TO BECOME CERTIFIED AS A NATIONAL FITNESS INSTRUCTOR, ALSO RECEIVE TRAINING FROM THE AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION ON HEALTHY LIVING TO PREVENT OR CONTROL DIABETES, AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION ON MAINTAINING A HEALTHY HEART, ALONG WITH A CERTIFIED NUTRITIONIST, TEACHING ALL OF THE FUNDAMENTALS TO PURCHASING, PREPARING AND PRESERVING HEALTHY FOODS FOR FAMILIES. INCLUDED IN THIS MODEL IS DEVELOPING A "CULTURAL HISTORY" COMPONENT TO PROVIDE HEALTHY SELF ESTEEM, AND PRIDE WITHIN THE CULTURE FOR BOTH WOMEN AND YOUTH. THE PARTICIPANTS WILL ALSO RECEIVE HANDS ON TRAINING IN THE AREAS OF MASSAGE THERAPY, REFLEXOLOGY, SHIATSU, ALONG WITH OTHER ALTERNATIVE LIFESTYLE CHOICES THAT SERVES AS A PREVENTION TOOL IN ADDITION TO CREATING A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE FOR FAMILIES AT RISK OF HEART DISEASE, DIABETES, ETC. THIS IS ONE OF THE ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE FOR OUR BOYS TO MEN, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INTERNATIONAL MOTHERS' CLUB, TRAINING THEM TO LEARN EVERY ASPECT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, SUSTAINABILITY AND GROWTH AS WELL AS GAINING THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO BEING AN ACCOMPLISHED COMMUNITY ORGANIZER. IN THIS CASE, CREATING "WELL COMMUNITIES, WHERE FAMILIES CAN THRIVE, LIVING A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE".
2. THE BRIDGE INITIATIVE, KENYA, AFRICA, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - ZUNI MIGOZE

Kenya is one of the most beautiful and amazing community that anyone would love to visit. We are working diligently with our Executive Director, Zuni migoze in creating a "Holistic Health" Community not only for the residents in the village, but also visitors that would like to join with the community there to heal, to be inspired, to feel the sense of community, and to connect with the history of one of the oldest countries in Africa. It is a space that will not only welcome visitors, but one that will embrace visitors in the "SPIRIT OF ONENESS", THE SPIRIT OF FAMILY.
Our Bridge Initiative community is also working diligently to build a Youth Center for the many young people in the village. The Youth Center will house a "BOYS TO MEN ENTREPRENEUR LEADERSHIP ACADEMY - KENYA, that will support the ongoing workin building the BRIDGE between America in the development of our KENYA INITIATIVE. Our Bridge Initiative is working to build a theatre company for the youth in partnership with Magnum Opus Youth Drama Consortium headquartered in Los Angeles, California, a program of International Wellness Network, Inc., to provide all levels of theatre arts and academic education for the youth in the village. Our Bridge Initiative is a community whose vision is to draw to us our family and friends from around the world, to spend time, to come home (KENYA) and to truly feel the "POWER OF COMMUNITY".
